  • Previously, she served as Divisional Director of Intellectual Property Protection at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), responsible for administrative proceedings involving the nullification, expiration, and cancellation of distinctive signs and inventions, as well as the administrative declaration of infringement in industrial property and copyright matters.
  • She also had a role in the Mexican delegation during negotiations for Free Trade Agreements, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (2013), the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), and NAFTA, specifically in matters related to intellectual property.
  • Irely Aquique has actively participated in international forums such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and INTERPOL's IP Crime seminars.
  • She was involved in the coordination and updating of chapters within the Industrial Property Law.
  • In addition, she conducted working visits to various countries in Latin America and to different organizations, focusing on issues related to the enforcement and protection of intellectual property rights.
